How to get more dental implant patients
Implant patients ask about cost first and decide slowly. Here is how your clinic can answer the price question, book assessments and follow up until they are ready.
By the Kren Agency team ·
Most dental implant patients start with one question: what is the dental implant cost in Nigeria at your clinic? The clinics that win these patients answer with an honest range, explain what moves the fee, book an assessment quickly and keep in touch for weeks, because implant decisions are slow. Get those four things right and more of your implant enquiries become implant bookings.
Why are implant patients harder to win?
An implant is a big, planned spend. Many patients pay from their own pocket. Some have lived with a gap for years, so there is no rush.
They also compare. The same message often goes to several clinics. An implant enquiry starts a long conversation.
Where do dental implant enquiries leak?
Watch for these four leaks:
- A bare number. The patient compares it with a lower quote and leaves.
- No number at all. “Come in and we’ll see” sounds like hiding.
- A slow reply. Another clinic replies sooner and offers a time.
- No follow-up. The patient says “I’ll think about it” and nobody checks back.

How should you explain dental implant cost in Nigeria?
Agree one reply, signed off by your implant dentist, so the whole front desk says the same thing.
- Reply the same day, in the channel the patient used: call, DM, chat or web form.
- Give a range, written here as [your range]. The final fee is set after assessment, so a range is honest.
- Say what moves the fee in one line: how many teeth, what the implant will hold, and whether extra work is needed first.
- Invite them to an assessment and give the assessment fee, written as [your assessment fee].
- Offer two times. “Tuesday 10am or Thursday 2pm?” gets a faster yes than “When are you free?”.
The second point matters. The Oral Health Foundation explains that an implant can hold a single crown, a bridge or a denture. That is why one patient’s fee can differ so much from another’s, and patients accept a range more easily when they hear why it exists.
A reply your team can adapt
Thanks for asking. Implants at [clinic name] usually range from [your range]. The exact fee depends on how many teeth need replacing and what your jaw needs, which the dentist checks at an assessment. The assessment is [your assessment fee]. Would Tuesday at 10am or Thursday at 2pm suit you?

What should the assessment visit cover?
The assessment is where a price question becomes a treatment decision. The Oral Health Foundation says the implant dentist will check the health and strength of the jawbone and confirm whether implants are suitable.
Before they leave, give them a written plan with:
- What is being replaced and what the implant will hold
- The total fee, what it includes and what is extra
- The stages and roughly how long each takes
- How payment works. If your clinic offers instalments, explain them plainly. If it does not, say so early.
Timing belongs in that plan. The same Oral Health Foundation page says the implant is usually left to heal for around four months before the replacement tooth is attached. Patients who know this up front are less likely to drift away.

How long should you follow up with implant patients?
Longer than for most treatments. Many implant patients talk it over with family or save up first. Polite, spaced messages keep your clinic in mind.
- Two days after the price reply: offer an assessment time again.
- The day after the assessment: resend the written plan and invite questions.
- About two weeks later: a short check-in.
- About a month later: one last message. If they say no, thank them and stop.
Log every implant enquiry with its date, stage and next step. Keep treatment names out of reminders that others may see on a phone screen. Our post on answering braces cost enquiries uses the same method for another long, planned treatment.

What content builds trust before the first message?
- An implant page on your website that explains who it suits, the stages, the assessment and how to book.
- Your implant dentist’s name and training, so patients know who is doing the work.
- Aftercare in plain words. The Oral Health Foundation notes plaque build-up around an implant can cause peri-implantitis, so daily cleaning matters.
- Google reviews from real patients, asked for politely after treatment. Our post on getting Google reviews for your clinic covers how.
Keep advertising careful. Never promise results, never say implants last forever, and only share before-and-after photos with written patient consent.

Which numbers show your implant enquiries are working?
Count four things every week: implant enquiries received, assessments booked, written plans given, and treatments started. The biggest drop shows where to fix first. For the full picture across every treatment, read our pillar post on dental marketing in Nigeria.

Questions clinic owners ask about dental implant cost in Nigeria
Should we show implant prices on our website?
That is your decision. A starting price or a range often brings more enquiries, because some patients will not call without any idea of cost. If you prefer not to, state the assessment fee and what it covers.
What if a patient says another clinic is cheaper?
Do not criticise the other clinic. Explain what your fee includes, such as the assessment, each stage and review visits, and invite them in so they can compare properly.
Should we offer payment plans for implants?
Only if your clinic already offers them and can manage them. If you do, explain the terms plainly in the written plan. If you do not, say so early so nobody is surprised.
Who should answer implant enquiries?
Anyone on the front desk can reply, using the wording your implant dentist has approved. Clinical questions about suitability go to the dentist.
