ECG machine and autoclave prices in Nigeria
What ECG machines and autoclaves are listed for in Nigeria, what drives the price, and the supplier and NAFDAC checks a clinic should make before paying.
By the Kren Agency team ·
The ECG machine price in Nigeria depends mostly on how many channels it records at once, the brand, and the service behind it. As listed in October 2026, most ECG machine ads on one large marketplace sat between about ₦390,000 and ₦2.3 million, and most sterilizer ads, where autoclaves are listed, sat between about ₦95,000 and ₦2.5 million. Treat every figure below as a seller's listed price that changes. None of them is a Kren quote.
This post sits beside our hospital equipment list for a new clinic. Use it to plan two machines most clinics buy early: the ECG for the consulting or procedure room, and the autoclave for sterilising instruments.
What ECG machines are listed for in Nigeria right now
We checked Jiji.ng's ECG machines category. As listed in October 2026, it showed 180 ads across Nigeria. Its price filter put 72 of them between ₦390,000 and ₦960,000, and 45 between ₦960,000 and ₦2.3 million. Nine sat above ₦2.3 million.
The lowest band includes accessories. Electrodes and ECG print paper were each listed at ₦7,500.
Some individual machines on the same page, as listed in October 2026:
- Several 6-channel machines in Lagos, listed between ₦500,000 and ₦610,000.
- An unnamed ECG machine on Lagos Island, listed at ₦850,000.
- A GE MAC 3500 12-channel machine in Surulere, listed at ₦1,500,000.

What drives the ECG machine price in Nigeria?
Two machines with the same name on the box can sit a million naira apart. These are the things that move the price:
- Channels. Listings are sold as 3-channel, 6-channel or 12-channel. A 12-channel unit prints all twelve leads at once. Fewer channels print them in turns. Ask the doctors who will read the tracings which they need.
- Brand and model. The same channel count is listed at very different prices from one maker to another. Ask who services that brand in Lagos or Abuja.
- New, used or refurbished. Of the 180 ads, the page marked 166 as brand new and 14 as used.
- Features. A screen, built-in interpretation, battery, and the option to save or share tracings all add cost.
- Running costs. Paper and electrodes are bought again and again. Price them before you choose a model.

What autoclaves are listed for in Nigeria
Jiji groups autoclaves under sterilizers. As listed in October 2026, that category showed 74 ads, autoclaves and smaller sterilizers together. Its price filter put 29 between ₦95,000 and ₦340,000, 18 between ₦340,000 and ₦2.5 million, and three above ₦2.5 million.
Autoclaves on that page, as listed in October 2026:
- 18 to 24 litre portable units on Lagos Island, listed at ₦229,999 and ₦300,000.
- An 18 litre autoclave in Surulere, listed at ₦350,000.
- 50 litre digital autoclaves, listed at ₦1,550,000 and ₦1,600,000.
- A 100 litre vertical electric autoclave in Amuwo-Odofin, listed at ₦2,600,000.

What drives the autoclave price?
- Chamber size. Count the instrument packs you sterilise on your busiest day, then size up a little.
- Portable or benchtop or vertical. A portable pressure unit costs least. Larger digital and vertical units cost far more.
- Controls. Digital units cost more than simple pressure units. Ask the supplier to run a full cycle in front of your staff.
- Power. Check the voltage and load against your generator or inverter before you buy.
Check the supplier and NAFDAC before you pay
A listed price leaves out delivery, installation, training and service. Get one written quote that names all of them, plus the warranty, where the engineer is based, and which parts are stocked in Nigeria. Our post on choosing a medical equipment supplier covers the full set of checks.
NAFDAC's Vaccines, Biologics and Medical Devices directorate processes registration for all imported and locally manufactured medical devices. Ask your supplier for the registration of the exact model you are buying, and keep a copy with your invoice.

An ECG machine earns when patients and referring doctors book tests. That means being found on Google, quick replies to every enquiry, and reminders that bring patients in on the day.

Questions clinic owners ask about ECG machine and autoclave prices
How much is an ECG machine in Nigeria?
As listed in October 2026, most ECG machine ads on Jiji.ng sat between ₦390,000 and ₦2.3 million. Six-channel machines were mostly listed between ₦500,000 and ₦610,000. Prices change, so get a written quote that includes delivery, training and service.
Is a 12-channel ECG worth the extra cost?
It depends on who reads the tracings and how many patients you test. Ask the doctors who will use it, then compare quotes for the same brand in each channel count.
What size autoclave does a small clinic need?
Size it to the instrument packs you sterilise on your busiest day. Portable 18 to 24 litre units were among the lowest listed autoclaves in October 2026, but your daily load should decide the size.
Should I buy a used ECG machine?
It can make sense if it passes the checks a new one would. Test it, ask for its service history, confirm that paper, cables and parts are still sold in Nigeria, and ask about NAFDAC registration.
