Hair transplant in Nigeria: how clinics book consultations
Hair transplant patients research for weeks. How clinics earn trust, book consultations from anywhere and follow up, within Meta's ad rules.
By the Kren Agency team ·
To market a hair transplant in Nigeria, earn trust long before the patient books. Show who performs the surgery, explain the process and recovery in plain words, make the consultation easy to book from anywhere, and follow up for weeks. Patients research this decision for a long time, and most clinics stop replying long before the patient is ready.

Why is a hair transplant in Nigeria so hard to sell?
Hair transplant is surgery, and the patient lives with the result for years. So they take their time.
- They compare clinics in Nigeria with clinics abroad.
- They watch videos, read reviews and ask friends in private.
- They worry about who actually does the surgery, pain, scarring and time off work.
- Many feel shy about hair loss and want privacy at every step.
The clinic that stays helpful through the whole research cycle is the one they book with. Our post on aesthetic clinic marketing in Nigeria covers the wider plan for skin and aesthetic clinics.
What should your hair transplant page show?
Your website page does the heavy lifting while the patient researches at night. Build one page for hair transplant, written for a cautious reader.
- Who performs the surgery. Name the surgeon, their qualifications and their registration.
- The process, step by step. Consultation, assessment, planning, the surgery day, aftercare.
- Recovery, in your surgeon's words. What the first days look like and when most people return to work, written by the clinic.
- Who is a candidate. Say plainly that the consultation decides whether surgery suits the patient.
- One clear next step. A button to book a consultation, in person or by video.
Our post on landing pages for clinics shows how to lay out a page that turns visits into bookings.

Make the consultation easy to book from anywhere
Many hair transplant patients do not live near your clinic. Some are in another state. Some are Nigerians abroad who plan the procedure around a trip home.
- Offer a video consultation as the first step, with an in-clinic assessment before surgery if your surgeon requires one.
- Show available times in a booking link that works from any country.
- State your time zone on the booking page, so patients abroad pick the right slot.
- Explain how many days a patient should plan to stay in town, as your surgeon advises.
- Add hair transplant as a service on your Google Business Profile. Google lets you add a description and price to each service, and rejects custom service names that include prices or phone numbers (Google Business Profile Help).
Our post on Google Business Profile for clinics walks through the profile itself.

Follow up for weeks, without pressure
The patient who asks about price today may book in two months. Most clinics never hear from them again, because nobody followed up after the first reply.
- Reply within minutes during opening hours, and send a short note that the team will reply first thing outside them.
- Send the process and recovery details in writing, so the patient can read them again in private.
- Check in a few days later, then again after a few weeks, with a link to book.
- After the consultation, send the written plan and price so the patient can decide at home.
Keep every message discreet. Use the clinic name, not "hair loss" or "hair transplant", in anything that shows on a lock screen. Stop when the patient asks you to.

Meta ads for hair transplant: the rules
Instagram and Facebook are where many patients first see a hair transplant clinic. If you run ads, Meta's Health and Wellness ad standards apply. Ads for cosmetic procedures or surgeries must be targeted to people aged 18 or older, and the policy lists "hair restoration surgery" among the procedures it covers (Meta Transparency Center: Health and Wellness).
- Set the audience to 18 and over.
- Drop any line that attacks how someone looks. Meta does not allow ads with negative statements about a person's appearance or body parts, so mocking a receding hairline is out.
- Meta allows before-and-after images for general cosmetic procedures. Use them only with the patient's written consent, and never show a face without it.
- Never promise a result. Outcomes vary from patient to patient.
Meta updates this page, so check it before each campaign. Your professional rules apply on top.

What should you measure?
- Enquiries per week, and where each one came from.
- How many enquiries book a consultation, and how long that takes.
- How many consultations go on to book surgery.
If enquiries come in but few consultations follow, fix replies and follow-up before spending more on ads.

Questions clinic owners ask about hair transplant marketing
How long do hair transplant patients take to decide?
It varies a lot. Some book within days, many take weeks or months. That is why written details and steady follow-up matter more here than for quick treatments.
Should we publish a hair transplant price?
That is your clinic's call. A "from" price can filter enquiries, but the final price depends on the consultation. Whatever you share, explain that the surgeon confirms the plan and price after assessment.
How do we reach patients outside Lagos or Abuja?
Offer a video consultation, a booking link that works from any country and clear advice on how long to stay in town. Send everything in writing so the patient can plan travel.
Can we show before-and-after photos in hair transplant ads?
Meta's current policy allows before-and-after images for general cosmetic procedures in ads targeted to people aged 18 or older. You still need the patient's written consent, and your professional rules apply. Never present a result as certain.
