How to get more patients for a dental clinic in Lagos
Lagos patients pick a dentist close to home or work. Here is how a dental clinic gets found in each part of the city, answers faster and keeps patients coming back.

A dental clinic in Lagos gets more patients by being easy to find near where people live and work, answering every enquiry quickly, and bringing past patients back. In practice, that means a Google Business Profile for each real branch, a page for each treatment, steady reviews, a fast front desk, recall and a few company partnerships.
Why does a good dental clinic in Lagos still have quiet days?
Lagos patients rarely cross the city for a check-up. Someone in Ajah with a toothache searches for a dentist close to home or the office, then books the clinic that replies quickly.
Google works the same way. It says local results depend mainly on relevance, distance and how well-known a business is, in its page on how Google ranks local results. A clinic in Ikeja will struggle to appear for a search made in Lekki, however good its dentists are.

How do you show up across different parts of Lagos?
Start with what Google allows. Its guidelines for Business Profiles say a business can have a profile where it has a physical location customers can visit, with permanent signage, and no more than one profile per location.
- One profile for each real branch. If you have a branch in Victoria Island and another in Gbagada, each gets its own profile, hours and phone line.
- No profiles for areas without a branch. Google says a virtual office is not eligible. Fake addresses put every profile you own at risk.
- Keep the name clean. Google does not allow extra details in the business name, such as taglines or location descriptions. “[Clinic name] | Implants in Lekki” breaks the rule.
- Dentists can have their own profiles. Google treats dentists as individual practitioners. A dentist who sees the public and can be reached at the verified location during stated hours may have a dedicated profile.

What if you have one branch but want patients from nearby areas?
Use your website and ads. A clinic page can say who it serves nearby, with landmarks and directions from the next estate or bus stop. Ads on Meta can target a radius around the clinic. Our post on Meta Ads Manager for clinics explains location targeting.
Which pages bring dental patients from search?
People search for a treatment and a place: “dental implants Ikeja”, “braces in Lekki”. Give each high-value treatment its own page, and each branch its own page.
- Treatment pages: who it suits, what happens at the consultation, how many visits, a starting price if you choose to share one, and one clear way to book.
- Branch pages: address, nearby landmarks, opening hours, parking and the dentists who work there.

How fast should your front desk answer?
Patients often message several clinics at once. The first clear reply often gets the booking.
- Answer calls during opening hours, and call back missed numbers the same day.
- Reply to DMs, chats and web forms in the channel the patient used.
- Give a straight answer to “How much?”: a starting price, or the consultation fee and what it covers.
- Offer two consultation times. A choice gets a yes faster than “When are you free?”.
- Send a reminder the day before the visit.

How do reviews help a dental clinic in Lagos?
Patients read reviews to judge whether a clinic is clean, calm and honest about cost. Google says more reviews and positive ratings can help a business’s local ranking, and that replying shows you value feedback.
Ask every patient after their visit, offer nothing in return, and reply without confirming that anyone was treated. Our post on Google reviews for clinics has sample wording.

How does recall keep your bookings full?
Your easiest patient is one you already treated. Book the next check-up before the patient leaves, then send a short reminder before it is due. Leave treatment names out of the message, since other people see phone screens.
Can partnerships with Lagos companies bring patients?
Yes, if they are set up with care. Many working Lagosians put off dental visits because of traffic and work hours.
- Pick employers near a branch. Staff are more likely to come if the clinic is close to work.
- Talk to HR with a simple offer. A staff check-up day at the clinic, set booking slots or a dedicated booking link.
- Agree the terms in writing. Who pays, what is covered and how staff book.
- Keep records private. The employer can see how many staff attended, never what any person was treated for.

Questions clinic owners ask about getting more dental patients in Lagos
Can we create a Google profile for every area we want patients from?
No. Google allows a profile only where you have a physical location that patients can visit, with signage. For nearby areas without a branch, use your website pages and location-targeted ads.
Should each dentist have a Google profile?
Google allows a dedicated profile for a practitioner who sees the public and can be contacted at the verified location during stated hours. Support staff should not have their own profiles.
Can we add the area name to our business name on Google?
Only if it is part of your real name, as it appears on your signage. Google does not allow extra details such as taglines or location descriptions in the name.
What should a company partnership include?
A clear offer, written terms on who pays and what is covered, an easy way for staff to book, and a promise that individual treatment details stay private.
